The Mission
The Association’s purpose, within the national territorial scope, is to promote, support and encourage initiatives in the fields of Science, Technology and Culture, keeping alive the memory of the Italian physicist Prof. Francesco Paolo Ricci and continuing his work on behalf of the scientific community interested in neutron scattering and applications, with particular attention to the training of young researchers.
The Activities
The School Francesco Paolo Ricci, an international school established in 2004, provides a comprehensive training in the fundamental concepts of neutron scattering. It is entitled to Prof. Francesco Paolo Ricci who pioneered with outstanding efforts the development of a neutron scattering community in Italy and the establishment of international collaboration between the Italian Research Council (CNR) and the European International Neutron Facilities in 1985.
